Third and Sixth Hour were read followed by Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. His Grace Bishop Dr. MITROPHAN served assisted by Father Deacon Dragoslav Kosic. Thirty-eight people attended. Six communicants.

July 26

One person came for Matins and First Hour.

The Akathist for St. Panteleimon was read at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Fairmont, W.Va.

July 27

One person came for Matins and First Hour.

Two people came for the Akathist to the Icon of the Mother of God, She Who Healeth.

July 28

One person came for Matins and First Hour. Ninth Hour and Vespers were read.

Today

Matins and First Hour. Third and Sixth Hour followed by Divine Liturgy and Parastos.

Akathist followed by Adult Class at 7:00 PM.

· The parish was honored by the presence at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy of His Grace Bishop Dr. MITROPHAN and Father Deacon Dragoslav Kosic last Sunday.

· The parish was honored by the many visitors and parishioners at the picnic.

· Many people came from long distances for the picnic...Michigan...New York City, Connecticut, and the Washington D.C/Maryland area.

· Some people came to the picnic for the first time including a student here from Belgrade.

· The workers for the picnic did a super job.

· Plan to come to the Healthcare Seminar on August 10.

· Inform Father Rodney if you are going to Shadeland for Diocesan Day.

· Two people came to Adult Class last Tuesday. Class again this Tuesday. Bring a friend.

· Adult Class will be held this week on Tuesday at 7:00PM. Plan to attend.

· If you have a question about Church practices, come to Adult Class or ask the priest.

· Remember the sick, the suffering, the imprisoned, those in rehab centers, the homebound, the mentally ill, their caretakers and the institution staffs.

· Remember the men and women serving in the military and their families.

· Remember the workers in mines, law-enforcement, corrections, probation and parole and firefighters, all working in dangerous occupations.

· Honor your Slava every year!

· Read your Bible everyday. Come to the St. George Church during the week to pray.

· Read the Church calendar daily to learn of the feasts, fasts, saints and martyrs.

· If your house has not been blessed and you would like it done, please make a request.

· If you have not been married in the Orthodox Church and would like to have your marriage blessed, please ask to arrange for this.

· Share the love of Christ with everyone you meet.

· Happy St. Elijah Slava to the parish in Aliquippa and to families celebrating St. Elijah Day.

In conclusion we can say that the religious and national education of the children will be successful only if the parents take full participation by coming to church regularly with their children and in the home see that they take full interest in their children's education. In short, they must practice their religion, customs, language with words, deeds and thoughts. They will consider the priest as their assistant in the education of their children and not as their replacement, as the Serbian saying: "Brigo moja predji na drugoga (Let my worry be somebody else's)
